How Can a 15 Year Old Find a Job?
Question by Nick: How can a 15 year old find a job?
I need a job. Really, I need one. My parents don’t lend me money, so I need some kind of income, right? Also, I barely have a social life so I need something to do. I’ve got quite a few other reasons for wanting one…
Where should I look? How should I go about asking if a company is hiring? Is it true that you should always call and ask if they’re hiring (it’s what my older brother tells me)? Where can a 15 year old work in Virginia? Preferably somewhere that doesn’t drug test…
And please no lectures on how I need a job. You should know that no one listens to you, so the best thing you could do is help a niqqa out! Thanks!

Okay, If you are ready to start contributing to society there is one detrimental factor that you need to get straight. No one wants to hire someone who is abusing an illegal substance. It really is that plain and simple. Another thing, potential employers will more than likely tell you that they are “always accepting applications” so submit one. Most places take online applications so I would start there. Apply at places that are near your residence, that way transportation is not a problem. Just start submitting applications anywhere and everywhere you can think of. Give it a couple days and you can start with your follow up calls. Be clear, polite, and sound professional. At 15 years of age I would try applying at any fast food establishment, grocery stores, and since it is tax season, maybe they are looking for a person to hand out flyers.
