I have to do a paper on this. I already have some ideas but I thought it would be better to get some people’s opinions too. If you can cite some sources as well, that would be great.

Drug treatment programs help in fostering a healthier society. With every person treated for his drug addiction, there’s one person brought back to sobriety and productivity. Productivity that society will benefit from. It also follows that when one gets treated from drug addiction, his loved ones will be happier and this will cause ripples of positivity. Researches have also shown that drug treatment decreases instances of crime, abuse, and spreading of diseases such as HIV and AIDS, among others.
