How Often Do People Become Criminals as a Result of Health Problems?

Question by Mycroft: How often do people become criminals as a result of health problems?
It seems like it could be a common occurrence. If someone’s in pain and looking for ways to relieve it, and/or broke as a result of an illness, s/he might easily get caught up in crime even after having been a law-abiding citizen.

Your post is to general so there’s no direct answer.
Crime is environmental. The predisposition to criminal activity starts with the family unit.
If the child is raised with structure, Morals, discipline, responsibility, In a standard family” Mother & Father” the child’s chances are far higher to become a productive citizen.
If the child is raised in a drug or alcohol environment, anger, isolation, broken home or sexually maladjusted environment is success rate is statistically very low.
Children rarely listen, but will always imitate what they see the parents or environment around them does.
Crime: low or no education = poor to no job opportunity’s = low self esteem = acting out = crime.
Health issues : Do you mean mental health ? To a very low degree.
Addiction, alcohol & drugs, (including pot )yes to a very high degree. which is why what Co. & Wa. has done is so insidious & deadly.
If your going to the academy or are already in, look up the “Kansas city experiment ”
Many of the crime & race problems can be reduced at least 70 %, look back at crime stats throughout history. Then cross reference those with today. The problem is the leadership does not want to stop or reduce crime or racism. It is big business & very lucrative. It is also a very effective method of population control.
Be well
