Question by : Is my life worth it, someone please answer?
[rewrite]My name is tyler I’m a 15 year old boy who is missing the lower half of my body due to the fact that my mom was diagnosed with aids while she was pregnant with me. When i was born all i was was a torso with little stubs and the stubbs were infected so the amputated the rest of my legs. Since my mother had aids while she was carrying me in her whom i contracted the aids and now i have it too. my mom died 2 years ago and now i live with my grandpa who disowned my mother and acts like i’m not even there except for when i eat too much dinner and he doesn’t get enough and i have no friends cuz i don’t go to school anymore. So now i’m asking the question should i kill myself and if so how should i do it.

no you should not kill yourself. You will gradually find meaning in life. I have physical deformities as well. Try contacting a social worker if you can. Don’t give up. I’m rooting for you.

I have and always believe everything happens for a reason. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to go through all of that but remember there’s a light at the end of every tunnel. Don’t give up on life, yes you are different from others but that’s what makes you unique. Surely you must have some hobbies or something that can get you though each day or something you can develop in your own way which can lead to a career of something. There are lots of famous celebrities out there who are physically challenge but they have managed to overcome it and maybe you should try to do that as well.

YES YOUR LIFE IS WORTH IT!!!!!!!! There’s so much people that are famous and disabled….don’t kill yourself. I’m sure you have someone that cares for you. Just think about how they would feel if you were gone.

My heart goes out to you! You are soo loved, even if you do not know it. The God who created you knew everything about you and your situation before you were even born. This is no surprise to Him, and He loves you so very much!!! Don’t give up! Start a support group or look for ways to reach out to others. I’ve seen a boy at my college who does not have any body below his waste, yet he still smiles and makes meaning of his life and education. Please know you are loved!

Tyler, your are reaching out to us and educating us, and that makes your life very worthwhile. I am so sorry that you are no longer able to attend school. I know that has to be very lonely for you. Obviously, you can both read and write very well. Do you enjoy books? Please send me an e-mail. Please, please don’t pay attention to anyone who would advise you to end your life. You are loved by myself, others whose heartfelt answers I have read here, and by your Heavenly Father. This life isn’t all there is in the eternities, and you will one day have a perfect body that is disease free, but right now in this imperfect world you are an asset to the rest of us who have serious need to count our blessings and learn from you and all that you have endured in your young life. Love ya!
