Do I Have an Addiction?

Question by raluke le: Do I have an addiction?
Hi.

I’d first like to say. I have a wife who doesn’t know about my situation and I also go to church regularly. About three times a week to be exact. She has no clue, and nor does my three year old. When i have free time I like to look up Pornography. I talked to my pastor about it and he said that god will only forgive. But my addiction is getting worse. I’m constantly thinking of it. I’m constantly getting the shakes, and i also think of other women. this I did not tell my pastor. I’ve stopped myself from watching it and I’ve decided not to on my computer. So i went to the store and spend over 40 bucks on movies. this is all I watch but i have a craving for more. Am I an ADDICT?? I’ve done numerous tests online about this. I haven’t got a conclusion. Can god help me with this??? if so what are steps I need to take.

thank you,
Steve.

Do you have sex with your wife though?

    That might help.

    Steve you are a sicko……

“So i went to the store and spend over 40 bucks”

Seriously, who the hell pays for porn?

  • Torgo says:

It is an addiction. You have to find other ways to spend your time, such as friends, family, hobbies, etc. If the addiction gets worse, you will find yourself in very deep trouble.

  • Open Heart Searchery says:

Yes, you have an addiction. You are an addict.

I’m not saying that to be mean – just to be brutally honest.

You should cut it out of your life and get help, whether from your wife, pastor, or psychiatric professional.

It will destroy your marriage and your life if you don’t.

Go see a psychologist. Are you eager for sex with other women, or just to look at them? Have you been asking for sex from your wife more often then normal?

    Ur a troll.

  • The Jewish Guy from Florida says:

Yes you’re an addict, apparently you don’t find your wife attractive anymore, and that’s terrifying, you need to dump all the porn you have and get busy in other time consuming stuff, you will probably need to get rid of your computer, you need to act now before your addiction ruins your marriage.

  • izzo says:

    You will be OK .

  • I belong to God says:

God will help you and im not supposed to judge but it sounds like you are. God can take your addiction away though. Repent and pray and another thing you’re with your wife spend time with her. If you really love her the thought of losing her will hurt. You don’t wanna be alone with those movies and crying over your wife that you lost. Throw the movies out and burn them and it would hurt your wife if she knew. You’ll always crave more but no matter how much you get you won’t be satisified how many times do we as human beings with flesh want and want?….a lot. But are we ever satisfied with the desires of the flesh and material things? Obviously not if we’re wanting more. Just pray to God to give you strength He’ll help you and you won’t feel so bad about burning those movies.

Take them with along with some matches drive into the country or some where far enough away from home and burn the movies. Pray that you desire your wife and her only and also stop this before God exposes you because He will if you keep doing this because it’s displeasing to Him.
    I hope this helps
    you.

    Steve

Here is your reality. You are not following God. Your pastor is a bonehead who isn’t enforcing the law! What you are doing will land you in Hell. You are betraying your family. Jesus made it clear that adultery occurs in the heart. You can look at a woman and be guilty. You can camp out in the church 6 days a week and it won’t save you.

If you want to be free of your problem, you have to sacrifice your life. In other words, you must throw away ANYTHING that leads your mind to Sin. The images of TV, the sexiness of music, the images of newspapers. There is a lot in this world that makes us desire and lust. He told us it is better to gouge out our eyes than to end up in Hell.

You must do whatever it takes to rid your life of Sin. Its your responsibility.

Another thing you do not realize is that God doesn’t come into a Sinner’s life just because they cry for help. Why should He help you since you are wallowing in selfish and filthy behavior? What have you done for Him?

I say you better learn His Word. Study your Bible. Those who do not, will likely not go to Heaven. A Pastor may foolishly say otherwise. But God has a need. And He expects us to fullfill it with our worldly lives. Unless you turn away from your bad behavior and start living for others instead of yourself, He likely will not help you at all. You have the ability to change what you are doing. God can and will help you WHEN you move into His circle. But you are doing nothing. The church isn’t God’s home. He exists right where you are sitting now. And I am sure He doesn’t like what he sees you doing with yourself.
