There was a similar program here (in Michigan) that advertised on the radio a lot. Supposedly, you would get treatment on Friday and return to work on Monday.
The program had several “adverse outcomes”…whatever that means…and went out of business.
Though the California program may be different, please be careful, ask about medical personnel, etc.
There is also a NEW outpatient treatment called Suboxone (the name brand) or “buprenorphine”. I don’t know tons about it, but a doctor I know is begining this program. You can try looking at the government web site listed below for more information.
Good Luck!!!!

Detoxing from drugs can definately cause personality changes. It doesn’t matter what method of detox is used. Many people experience psychiatric symptons, while coming off drugs. That is why it is better to be supervised by a medical doctor and psychiatrist. It is also possible that long-term drug use can cause psychiatric problems that may be temporary or permanent.

Kinda hard to anwser your question when there isnt at least a fact or 2. Understanding FIRST HAND how private and hush hush this topic is I can try and give my best 2 cents on it. I am assuming someone you know had this done at the treatment center and the outcome wasn’t to good? I would think you could find the name on the PC just like any of could, there is not places like that on every connor. I know there are plenty of rehabs inpatient and outpatient clinics/rehabs around but places tht are putting people under to detox them are far and few between. So my advice on tht is to try and look it up maybe ask your friend that went there or if he is that messed up ask a friend/family memeber. Again, not really knowing what it is you want to know, kinda hard for anyone to give you an awser. If its the name, look it up on the PC. If your concern is negative reactions or changes after the procedure he was given, after you find out the name of the place give them a call. You dont haveto tell them who you are calling about, with all the laws they have getting medical info its very hard anyways to get info on your own self sometimes, if your friend wants to be there when you make the call, have him make the call and he can tell whoever it is you want to talk to tht he gives them permission to know his medical info, if all tht cant be done or youi are doing this for your own knowledge, call them up and ask about there services for yourself or pretend you are getting info for a family member or spouse and then ask away. Ask about the downside or any possible negative effects that can occur, of course they arent going to give you the horrible ones over the phone, but by law anytime you have a medical procedure I am sure you know you sign your life away after reading all the things tht can go wrong that they type in the smallest print possible. Ask your friend to see his paperwaork that he signed, all ill side effects should be on his consent and he should have some home discharge instructions and if he/she is doing something or acting in ways that are not listed get him to a DR/hospital and ask questions later. I f you are asking if there can be changes in someones personlaity after this type of procedure, the anwser is YES YES YES……….You can have a change in behavior ANY time you are put under…….from surgey to fix a broken leg, open heart surgery, broken hip…A lot of elderly people are sometimes never the same after they are put under and think about why your friend went there to get this done, a rapid detox is not normal for your body…so you have someone who is on drugs….obviously a lot if they picked to have rapid detox done, trust me you dont do a rapid detox for taking/doing drugs for month…….so your brain chemistry is off because of the drug use and know you end up going under, which entails putting a large amount of more drugs in to your body that effects your brain so I would think that some type of personality change would not be uncommon in something like this…..I would think not everyone does but I am sure some people would…good luck and research what you can on the PC. I know this treatment has not been around as long as some of the other treatments, like methadone and then there is the newer pill form suboxone…..and they all help to stop using opiods, again not sure what your frined went to detox from but best of luck and like I said do what you can on here and try and give them a call, and I dont know how long ago your friend had this done but maybe give it some time, you never know…..just remeber…drugs change your brain chemistry and it doesnt happen over night so give it some time and in the meantime, try the PC.
