Well, it’s very advisable that they still go through a drug treatment program after they have been released from jail. The treatment of one’s drug addiction should not end in the prison halls due to the fact that there is a stronger tendency for relapses to occur once the individual is already in the outside world. Joining 12-step programs will get to help him too.

in my expierience, w/my son,,they were even able to get drugs in jail!! it was awful…it depends i guess on where you are & how tight the security is…they have ways to get it in., if they want to.!

yes , i would advise further treatment or a support group, according to their addiction..when they get back out side, they’ll be able to be around the same people would got them the stuff, & they can run into people that have what ever they want….

I will say a prayer for you, I have been through a time w/my boy who is 34.

when he married & moved about 2 hrs from here,,it helped him.,he got away from “familiar friends”…so to speak!
