how many people have to die from prescription drug abuse before it stops how many more kids have to suffer because there parents abuse these drugs and the most of them are getting government assistance tax payers money that is supporting there habit while the kids suffer

Prescription drugs come from pharmaceutical companies. Pharm companies make big bucks on the pills and donate to political candidates. Just follow the money, honey. Since we know where the pills are being manufactured, it’d be no difficulty at all to follow them to their point of entry into the illegal drug world. It’s not done because Big Pharma owns the government.

Funny and emotional, creative and honest this show illustrates the issues that teens wrestle with in Southwest Virginia. Substance abuse prevention effort from high school youth who sign a contract to remain drug free and maintain passing grades. MOUNTAIN YOUTH DRAMA – A theatrical group comprised of teenagers from all three Russell County VA high schools who perform an original prevention play to school age youth grades 5-12. The program began in 1994 and is a collaborative effort between Cumberland Mountain Community Services and the Russell County School Division. Through the use of drama, dance and song, cast members illustrate positive peer pressure and serve as role models to their peers. The program provides 2 — 6 hours a week of alternative adult leadership mentoring for cast members during the production development. For its’ audiences, the program is an information dissemination effort for the local schools and community. Students participating sign a contract to remain drug and maintain a passing academic standing. 80% of participants go on to attend college. Lori Gates Addison is the director.
