I’m starting to get tonsillitis and I need a prescription of antibiotics. I just recently moved to Virginia and absolutely have no insurance at the moment. What exactly should I do? I need help ASAP. All answers are greatly appreciated.

Urgent care, NOT the emergency department.
This is not a “life or limb” type of emergency and you will be shifted toward the back of the line. ED visit will also be in the THOUSANDS of dollars vs hundreds at urgent care. If a free clinc in your area exists, go there. Or maybe there’s a drug store with an outpatient clinic.
