I need to find an inpatient HIGH DOSAGE Methadone detox facility or rehab in NY. It could be in any of the 5 boroughs of NYC or I would even look into one in Nassau county on Long Island. Does anyone know of any place or even have any suggestions of websites or phone numbers I could call to locate one? I’m not having any luck in internet searches and it seems we are calling all the wrong places.
Or it could be in Florida if nothing for NY… Thank you for the Novus info, we had called them earlier and they would have been absolutely perfect if it wouldn’t have cost over $ 10,000.

I’m been just reciently put on on Suboxone by my doctor and I feel that it works well for the vicadin cravings, but I’m not sure if its cutting the pain. I was on methodone for a few weeks and that also worked well, i just did not like going to the clinic and they had to detoxed me with a month lapse before putting me on a maintance program. During that lapse my phsc doctor put me on Soboxone. I don’t think my doctor will prescribe methodone, but will Soboxone. I have no insurance and the Soboxone is really expensive. I don’t know what to do?
My Chronic pain is from 3 herniated discs. I’m waiting for a disc implant on the worst of the three, but my previous insurance company said it was experimental even though 4 doctors said that i needed it and the FDA approved disc implants 2 years ago. The doctors don’t want to do a triple fusion because i will loose to much mobility and with a fusion it has to rely on the strength of the other discs which are also herniated. So, I’m waiting until the insurance companies decide that it is no longer experimental. Crazy how an insurance company can trumpt both the FDA and 4 doctors. So, while waiting, I got addicted to the vicadin and thats why i’m interested in monitored pain relief

I think that all crack addicts, heroin addicts, and prostitutes are victims of slavery in the United States. I watched a show on tv about this and it was called 60 minutes. It was very shocking and disturbing as it is a hidden slave trade in America and few feel any pity for these victims. You can find this slave trade going on all over the major cities and I feel that the federal government should do something about it. These women are slaves to their addiction and a slave to their life style and there is no way out. It is really horrible that this exists in our modern America. Gross!

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. He has grown up a lot since then. He used to be addicted to cocaine. He stopped when I met him and never touched it again. Over the past two years he has struggled with an Oxycontin addiction and I am afraid it may never go away. He has tried Suboxone and Subutext (spelling?) and will not go to counseling or a Methadone Clinic. He can’t afford to go to rehab because of the cost but he would also lose his job which offers great opportunity for him. I know he wants to quit to some extent because he has cut back but he has never just stopped. We have lived together for some time and I am to blame for somethings because I enabled him before it got so bad. Now he needs money for gas and food and god knows what else he uses it for. I don’t give him much when I do and I know i shouldn’t give him anything but it makes my life miserable when he gets in those moods. Although you are probably reading this thinking he is a loser and I should run… it’s different when he is someone who I have loved for 5 years and is my best friend. I’m worried if I go he will do something incredibly stupid. I could afford to live alone if I got the money back he owes me. What do I do… Please no : “He’s a loser dump his ass”. I am honestly asking for real advice…
