How to Pay for Detox From Perscription Drugs?

Question by John W: How to pay for detox from perscription drugs?
[rewrite]My mom is addicted to Norco and Xanax. She desperately wants to get off, but all these detox programs in our area cost thousands of dollars we don’t have. She is currently living off of SSI and I am a full time college student. Is there some way we could do this cheaply or for free? Are there any charities out there that do this kind of thing for people? She’s been addicted for over five years and her health is starting to deteriorate as a result. She’s tried cold turkey, as well as every relevant phone number in the book (including local churches). It seems like we’ve exhausted every possible option we know of. Any suggestions?
